Still, the costs are far worse than his battle scars, and his nightmares only taunt what little sanity he holds on to. Perhaps his journey wasn’t truly meant to end; life could never be so kind. His feet oppose slumber in what venture it is forced to confront, and rage is the only fuel his lost heart has left.
The man he was yesterday would have feared the man he is today, but come every sundown, Brandon sleeps on a bed of karma, and every wake in terror echoes his desire to guide that karma back to its messenger.
